Born in Rostov-on-Don in the former Soviet Union, Maia Nikitina moved to London at the age of 18. She received her MFA from the Manchester Metropolitan University. Her work has appeared in Necessary Fiction and Manzano Mountain Review, among others, and her fiction was longlisted for the Bath Novel Award and highly commended twice for the Manchester Fiction Prize.
